Very good workaround. I have read other posts suggesting spinning up an EC2 instance, install the modules, copy them to local machine, and then zip them to create layer. That method is essentially doing the same thing as the one suggested in this article, but with way too many steps.

BTW, although numpy can be acquired from AWSLambda -Python37-Scipy1x layer, I still need to prepare pandas and scikit-learn layers myself.
