This is the era of "Big Brother is Watching You", but coming at a slightly different angle. I presume many of us have expected that surveillance would be pushed onto us directly from the government. But, the government is smart enough to know that this won't work. Instead, it has done it via a middleman: Google, Facebook, Amazon, etc. Now people are willingly implementing the surveillance gadgets in their homes, something the government never dares to do outright. How bizarre it is!

Surveillance is always there as long as a person connects to the society. Maybe this is how humanity's future is going to be, everyone constantly being monitored anytime anywhere. Maybe this is how we will evolve into, a completely shared and open entity to everyone involved. Maybe this is the preparation before humanity is plugged into the Matrix where privacy is an ancient concept...

Who am I kidding. It is just a tool for somebody to better control and exploit others. As simple as that.
