I don't understand why how the presenter looks even matter. What matters is what he/she says and brings to the discussion. Everything else is meaningless. Are we suggesting that if a person doesn't have the camera on, then his/her opinion doesn't matter?

I find such strive for "professional look" banal, or even toxic.
